March Wishlist

Okay guys, can you guess where I'm going this month?...Miami! I've always seen myself as someone who is way too sophisticated to spend their vacation at a place like Miami (and also maybe I was a snob?...just maybe). But, here I am. About two weeks away from spending almost a week in the heat and sunshine! I am soooo excited and have been dreaming of what I'm going to wear for about a month now. Am I the only person that also dreams about what they will wear on the flight, too? I just want to be the jetsetter type, okay! So, this months wishlist is filled with beach essentials. The only thing that could be added is a couple of good books, a beach towel, and a cute coverup. Also, crop tops? I love them. I'm really glad that Forever 21 has about a billion cheap options. 90's girl look here I come!

outfit // chilly

Chilly. Chilly and weird. I'm weird because I have pretty much refused to accept how cold it's been-hence outfits like this. But, I just wear what I love, ya know!?! :P Anyway, lately I've been trying to get on top of my life. With the new year brought new motivation. I've been planning my meals and outfits the night before, going to the library a lot to work on some projects, and scheduling a new workout plan. I've decided to train for 10K! It's going to be hard work but my goal is to run a race in May which gives me plenty of time. My brothers girlfriend, Ashley, is going to be training with me, too. It's always good to have a workout buddy for extra motivation!

I know this isn't new news but...I love red. Especially bright red-orange. These pants were on clearance at Old Navy for about $10! Love. I've been really into simple outfits lately that play with elements of color-blocking.

What kind of motivation or goals has the new year brought you? I'd love to hear about your resolutions! :)

outfit // vermillion

Photobucket
Cleaning, shopping, discovering a bunch of new music, seeing friends, and starting work again-this is the stuff that has been making up my life lately. I don't hate it. ;) I've also been reading a bunch of goal-related articles and blog posts. Every year I strive to be a little bit more productive. I just loved this one quote that I came across...

I don't know about you, but that quote helps me feel a little less scared of failing, a little less focused on success, and a little more focused on just creating.Photobucket
Oh, I guess I should talk about the outfit right? :P You know, I just woke up this morning and thought *warmth*. One sweater, two boots, and one scarf later and I could feel my toes again.

My favorite color is vermillion and I love pairing an article of clothing in this color with matching lipstick. That concept, in my opinion, works best when everything else is kept simple.

Anywayzz, enjoy the rest of your week, guys! :D

Hello!! Phew, once the middle of November hits, things get a little bit crazier, don't they? I don't know what you've been doing since I last posted, but I've been listening to tons of Christmas music and watching as many Christmas programs as possible. I also had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Lyric in Baltimore with the choir I'm in. So, yeah, how can that not put a person in the holiday spirit?

All the clothing seen here are Black Friday buys. I decided this year to buy [mostly] practical basics. And, so far, I've been really glad that I did. I've already worn these pants and this sweater a zillion times. Also, you may have noticed the many curls. Well, there were actually even more curls the night before these pictures were taken. I decided to use the tiniest barrel for the curling iron I own and POOF I become Shirley Temple (that's really the best I could up with for that comparison...sorry...). Since I was asked a lot (even by strangers) what curling iron I use, here it is folks: The Zoƫ Professional Curling Wand. I unfortunately could not find a link anywhere. I got it from Target for about $40 and it has been well worth it. It comes with three interchangeable barrels--Awesomeeeee!

Not my scarf. I wish it was though. My friend Meagen made it, left it at my house, and did not know I was wearing it. She should make me one (::wink::wink::). Anyway, I hope you guys are smack dab in the middle of your excitement for the beginning of a wonderful weekend (yes, that was meant to confuse you :P).
