outfit // the best

Photobucket
Okay, I've officially found the best dress ever made. It's super comfy and flattering and all around amazing (except for the warmth factor...this is definitely one to save for spring...). I was getting all dolled up when I looked outside and noticed it was snowing. So, like any good fashion blogger I ran outside for pictures :)

And, to do some twirling. C'mon, I'm in a frilly long dress, let me have my Kim moment.

I wore this outfit this past weekend to the Hippodrome in Baltimore! My Aunt and Uncle spoil me rotten because I'm everyones only girl (I don't have any girl cousins or siblings). Every Christmas I get to see a show and then sometimes they let me pick an extra one. This year-Beauty and the Beast. Next year? Sister Act :) We went to this cute little café attached to the theater and then went upstairs to relax in the lounge. When we got to our seats in the theater we noticed that every chair had a chocolate rose taped unto it. Perfect!

I kept it pretty simple. I think accents of gold next to a charcoal color is really beautiful. And, my awesome rose gold watch (that I'm in love with) goes with literally everything.

We're supposed to be getting a foot of snow this coming weekend in Baltimore! We'll see! Enjoy your week guys!!

outfit // chilly

Chilly. Chilly and weird. I'm weird because I have pretty much refused to accept how cold it's been-hence outfits like this. But, I just wear what I love, ya know!?! :P Anyway, lately I've been trying to get on top of my life. With the new year brought new motivation. I've been planning my meals and outfits the night before, going to the library a lot to work on some projects, and scheduling a new workout plan. I've decided to train for 10K! It's going to be hard work but my goal is to run a race in May which gives me plenty of time. My brothers girlfriend, Ashley, is going to be training with me, too. It's always good to have a workout buddy for extra motivation!

I know this isn't new news but...I love red. Especially bright red-orange. These pants were on clearance at Old Navy for about $10! Love. I've been really into simple outfits lately that play with elements of color-blocking.

What kind of motivation or goals has the new year brought you? I'd love to hear about your resolutions! :)

Hello!! Phew, once the middle of November hits, things get a little bit crazier, don't they? I don't know what you've been doing since I last posted, but I've been listening to tons of Christmas music and watching as many Christmas programs as possible. I also had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Lyric in Baltimore with the choir I'm in. So, yeah, how can that not put a person in the holiday spirit?

All the clothing seen here are Black Friday buys. I decided this year to buy [mostly] practical basics. And, so far, I've been really glad that I did. I've already worn these pants and this sweater a zillion times. Also, you may have noticed the many curls. Well, there were actually even more curls the night before these pictures were taken. I decided to use the tiniest barrel for the curling iron I own and POOF I become Shirley Temple (that's really the best I could up with for that comparison...sorry...). Since I was asked a lot (even by strangers) what curling iron I use, here it is folks: The Zoë Professional Curling Wand. I unfortunately could not find a link anywhere. I got it from Target for about $40 and it has been well worth it. It comes with three interchangeable barrels--Awesomeeeee!

Not my scarf. I wish it was though. My friend Meagen made it, left it at my house, and did not know I was wearing it. She should make me one (::wink::wink::). Anyway, I hope you guys are smack dab in the middle of your excitement for the beginning of a wonderful weekend (yes, that was meant to confuse you :P).

outfit // keep calm

Guys! I've been way way inconsistent on here. Ridiculousness. I finally got well and then I started my full-time job officially. Okay, excuse me for one minute while I say something really annoying...how do people survive life working full time? My week just started and I already came home absolutely exhausted today. I've worked full-time before but it was only for a time. For some reason it feels different knowing that there's no real end in sight (ha!). Well, enough of that, I'm loving my job and feel so blessed to be working there. The children and staff all teach me so much everyday!
So, I've been trying to look semi-cute at work but in all honestly I don't know how long that will last. When you have kids drooling and touching you with their boogery hands all day it kinda discourages you from wearing that new blouse in your closet. Ya feel? And, because I went all week not being able to wear what I wanted, I took an extra amount of time and creativity getting dressed. Hence the skirt over dress combo which I for some reason always forget about.
So, this weekend was all about relaxing, drinking coffee on my front porch with nowhere to be, dressing however I'd like to, and catching up with friends. It was lovely :) As much as I loved the weekend I refuse to be one of those people that "live for the weekend." What a gross way to live, do you agree? Everyday deserves to be lived-not just Friday through Sunday :).
