February Wishlist

Believe it or not this was really not supposed to be Valentine's Day themed-ha! After I had compiled a bunch of stuff, I went to make a collage out of it and realized it was all pink, red, and white. So, I decided to just go all the way with it-hence hearts. Okay, so there are just so many cute things that exist. Don't you just love that lunar calendar? I love good design. Simple, yet beautiful graphic design that is really nice and easy to look at.
I hope that you all are having a fabulous February so far. And, had a great V-day :).

January Wishlist

These are some things that I have been loving this month. I know I've been doing "Friday I'm in Love" posts for some time now but I've decided to do a monthly roundup of clothing and home items that I'm loving and leave articles, blogs, videos, and general inspiration to my regular Friday posts. The change is really for me-I need to stop looking at clothes online so often!
Anyway, I didn't realize that this months wishlist clothing and accessory items could actually be a pretty cute outfit-ha! This swan dress is seriously to die for and I love the rocker-chic vibe of the bracelet and the boots. Also, Ikea has some pretty cool stuff right now in their textiles section, totally check it out! David's tea, while I've never tried it, looks amazing. The flavor that caught my eye first was their red velvet cake tea-yum!!

I'm in Love // Christmas Edition

Hey guys! This week I'm posting some links to items that were on my Christmas list this year. Yes, I really do still make a Christmas list. Every year my parents request one, so ya know, yeah, I do it. Plus it's fun! :D
Photobucket
This watch from Fossil. Rose gold is just gorgeous. I love how masculine it is with the large face while still being so delicate and feminine.

These studded bracelets from Threads. They are so edgy and fun. Plus, they are made by at risk youth. The proceeds go towards their college fund.

These Hunter rainboot socks. They basically turn your rainboots into snowboots. Genius.

This tumbler from Starbucks. It's pretty.

This book on the history of fashion. The perfect coffee table book for the coffee table I do not own.

And, these boots. They look so freakin comfortable and yet still adorable. I feel like I'd probably wear them non-stop.

*This obligatory picture of my cat has nothing to with anything other than to display the level of cuteness of which he possesses. Also, it's kinda Christmasy?

friday I'm in love

Yoooo! I am loving life today because I am off work and am feeling so much better! Wednesday I started to feel sick and last night was horrible. I still went to choir practice where our wonderful choir director, Nikki, prayed that "tomorrow will be amazing." And after 12.5 hours of sleep, chicken noodle soup, water, and tylenol, I felt a ton better :)

Okay, so here are some things I'm loving...
This dress from Anthropologie. Also I'm thinking of making this my next new hairstyle...(j/k).
This Zou Bisou Bisou print by Tami Bohn found on Minted. Minted features a ton of awesome prints by different artists, so you should go explore. I love this one because it reminds me of Mad Men :)
This awesome new play being shown at Centerstage in Baltimore. A friend and I are going to see it the Sunday before Halloween. We figured it's only fitting to see a play about Edgar Allan Poe in the very city he died and is buried in near Halloween day :).
This adorable navy peacoat from ASOS. I love the little leather arrow detail.
This hot pink dress from Free People. The color is gorgeous, but the floral embroidered sleeves are super duper gorgeous.
This list of 11 Books You Should Read If You're a Woman in Your 20's. Now, I have no idea why only women should read them, and I don't know if they are good either. But, I've looked into them all and they all sound super interesting. Especially Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn which I've heard nothing but good things about!
This 1950's inspired ponytail tutorial found on The Beauty Department. Adorable.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

friday I'm in love

First, forgive my hot mess of a blog right now. The design of the blog and the color scheme are hopefully changing once and for all (for a while... :P). But, for right now it's only about...1/3 done. Secondly, enjoy my friday favorites :)
This sequin and brocade dress from Anthropologie. I mean, seriously, it's gorgeous.
photography by: Elizabeth Ryan
Spoons café in Federal Hill in Baltimore! I went there for the first time with some friends yesterday and literally had the best pumpkin spice latte of my life. No joke.
This dress from the new clothing line by Elsie from A Beautiful Mess now available at ModCloth. The clothes she designed are so adorable. This ones my favorite! :)
This A Clockwork Orange inspired photo-shoot by Bri Emery. Her blog DesignLoveFest is one of my favorite blogs to read!
Blair from the blog Love, Blair. She has fantastic style. And fantastic hair! XD
This Chesapeake Shakespeare Company play being shown at the Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City. It's an outdoor venue and is a movable performance. I'm going with a friend next weekend and am so excited. Plus, you get to bring your own alcohol. That's always a bonus. :P
This picture from Entertainment Weekly. Oh, Arrested Development, I have waited so long for your return.

This graphic by Alexandra Dal. So true and so hilarious. Love.

friday I'm in love

Just a few things I'm loving this week! Also, I know some of you have been concerned about my recovery progress from my sinus surgery that I had this week. Well, it's been a very long week to say the least. There have ben a few complications, but I officially have my head above water now and am doing so much better. Thank you all for the words of encouragement, prayers, gifts, and messages! :)

friday I'm in love

Here is my weekly roundup of the things I am loving on the world wide web :)
This pumpkin cream cheese and pumpkin spice smoothie recipe from A Beautiful Mess. Emma + Elsie also posted a pumpkin spice creme brûlée, pumpkin risotto, and pumpkin and sweet onion quesadilla recipes. Pumpkin recipes galore!
The Campfire Chic blog. I love this blog because it always introduces me to great blogging resources and tips.
This burnt orange dress from Dear Creatures c/o Ruche. And this red, white, and blue cat print dress also from Dear Creatures.
And look how cute Katie from Skunkboy styled the burnt orange dress. So cute.
The Run For Your Lives 5K race. I want to do this so bad. And they're bringing it through Baltimore! Basically it's a 5K race where you have zombies chasing you to the finish line. Kinda crazy sounding, but mostly awesome sounding.
The Making Nice in the Midwest blog by Mandi is just great. She gives us sneak peeks into her life and shows us her personal style in outfit posts. My favorite part is her old-school movie reviews!
This awesome bear bracelet from Sea of Bees. I've seriously never seen anything like this. Love.
These studded loafers from Bakers. And, they just went on sale!

These cute t-strap flats from Blowfish. I really can't decide which one I like better. Patent leather or pewter? Or both?

Now if I just had money....:)

Friday I'm In Love // Etsy Edition

I love Etsy oh so much. It's the ultimate cute-generator. I always find the most adorable, one-of-a-kind, or hand-made items. It's a crafty, vintagy goldmine! So, in honor of my love for Etsy, I've done an Etsy edition "Friday I'm In Love" post. Enjoy! :)

These iphone cases. I dropped my phone about a month ago and probably need a case much hefty than these but they're just so cute. How can I resist?
These craft supplies. I always forget that Etsy has craft suppliers that sell cute, affordable goods!
These vintage dresses from Exile Vintage.
This cute scalloped mug from Art Haus Ceramics.
These cute fox shoes from Em and Sprout.
These awesome wooden candles from Worley's Lighting.
These cute little doll patterns from Gingermelon.
This awesome print from Entropy Trading Co.

Friday I'm In Love.

Just a few things I'm currently loving. Enjoy your weekend! :)

This blog by Free People that shows a cool little tutorial on 3 different top-bun looks.
These old photos that depict the "hidden mother" craze. I had no idea this really occurred until I happened upon this article. Apparently the mother would hide behind blankets or tapestries in order to not be in the child's photo while simultaneously being able to hold to child still to ensure the photo would be focused. Not only are the photos interesting, but they're hysterically funny (to me anyways...).
This dress. Looks like houndstooth from far away but then you realize it is actually fabric covered in tiny hounds. Get it?...I think it's clever, anyways.

This heart necklace. I like my jewelry simple so this is perfect for me :)
This trailer featuring the new Man of Steel film coming out June 2013. It's short, but I'll take anything I can get right now.
These portraits taken by Joshua Yospyn, a DC-based street photographer.
Worn Magazine. A DC-based style + photography magazine that is restarting this Fall 2012. I can't wait to grab a copy!
This DC social group. Dandies + Quaintrelles organizes and hosts vintage-inspired events that sponsor noble causes. This picture is taken from their most recent event in June 2012: The Seersucker Social.
